Another great week is in the books!

Our first day of school, we have started, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." They are absolutely loving this book. We get to read a chapter a day.

Some important dates to remember:

September 24th-picture day re-take

September 27th-Grandparent's Day

October 2nd- Literature Fair (This is required for 3rd grade students) You can find more information regarding the Literature Fair on the school homepage, under forms and menus

October 9th-County Literature Fair (students will know if they qualify on October 2nd.

 October 14th- the week of the book fair

Important tests and quizzes next week:

Monday: No School

Tuesday: Spelling Pre-test List 1

Wednesday: Language Quiz, Practice Science Quiz, Spelling  List 1 Test

Thursday: Practice History Quiz

Friday:

We will be studying Language, Science, and History in class :)

Please be helping your child at home with time telling down to the minute on an analog clock.  They also need to know a quarter after, half past, and quarter til.  These terms are actually posted on our clock in the classroom, but they need practice.
